What is Laser Liposuction?

Laser liposuction is a remarkable new and gentler approach to removing unwanted fat and re-sculpting the body. It uses a fiber laser and a thin cannula, or small tube, to heat, “melt,” and remove targeted deposits of fat. The heat of the laser also spurs the growth of collagen, a structural protein that helps give skin strength and smoothness. The result is an improved body contour—one that is slimmer, tighter, and smoother.
Treats Various Areas Effectively
Laser liposuction works on many areas of the body, including the abdomen, chin, inner and outer thighs, hips, back, upper arms, buttocks, and face. It can also be used to reduce unwanted fat in the male breast. Because laser liposuction is less invasive, it often can be performed in areas where traditional liposuction cannot be performed, such as the underarms or neck area.
Smaller Incisions, Less Trauma
Unlike traditional liposuction surgery, laser liposuction—or laser-assisted lipolysis, as physicians refer to it—is minimally invasive. That means it uses only tiny incisions—ones so small, in fact, that they often don’t require suturing, or stitching up, afterwards. The procedure, therefore, produces very little bruising and bleeding—and demands very little recovery time. You can have the procedure one day and be back at work the following day.
